He was predeceased by: his wife Carol Sue Duncan McWain; his parents, Sherman McWain and Nola Smith McWain; and his siblings, Pauline Hable, Opal Marshall, Wanda Bailey, Bobby Joe McWain and Donald Sherman McWain.
He is survived by: his children, Kelley Sue McWain (Jeff), Natalie Carol McWain and Bennie Ray McWain Jr. (Susan); his granddaughter Emily Grace McWain; and his brothers, Barry McWain, Ryan McWain (Alice) and Brandon McWain. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
