With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bennie Lee Poynter of Lexington, Kentucky, who passed away on February 23, 2025 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Bennie Lee leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Bennie Lee may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Lindsey Lee Poynter and Ruth Fayne Vaught. He is survived by: his wife Arlena Poynter; his sons, Michael Lee Poynter (Jen) of Orlando, FL and Stephen Edward Poynter of Lexington; his granddaughter Phoebey Poynter; his stepgranddaughter Emily Brown; and his aunt Glenda Jones of Nashville, Tenn..

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Kerr Brothers Funeral Home - Harrodsburg Rd (3421 Harrodsburg Rd, Lexington, KY 40513). A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
