It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ben Markwell of Lexington, Kentucky, who passed away on December 12, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Worley Markwell and Katie Ellison Terrell; his wife Ada Carol Markwell; his sibling Donnie Markwell (Connie Markwell); his son-in-law Jason Nelson; and his brothers, Henry Markwell, Paul Roger Markwell, Pete Markwell and David Markwell.
He is survived by: his children, Debbie Markwell of Lexington, Renee Nelson (Tommy Holman) of Versailles and Ben Markwell (Judy) of New York; his grandchildren, Michael Bostic, Amanda Bostic, Faith Nelson, Sadie Grace Nelson, Lillian Markwell and Daniel Nelson; his great grandchildren, Kara Brown, Aiden Brown, Oliver Nelson and Aspen Moffett; and his great great grandchild Tyson Bell.
