He was predeceased by: his parents, Hoford Spivey and Marcella Spivey; and his siblings, Treasa Anderson, Bobby Spivey, Tammy Robinson and Debra Snelling.

He is survived by: his children, Dylan Spivey (Debra) and Brittany Spivey; his grandson Rhett Spivey; and his former wife Dawn Spivey.
