She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Morton Hedrick; her parents, Clarence and Lettie; her brothers, James W. James (Shanks) and Robert; and her stepmother Elizabeth Crowe Shanks.
She is survived by: her children, Tammi Hedrick Johnson (Greg), Jamie Hedrick Powell (Jim), Andrew Hedrick (Casey Potts), Connie Fizer Haney (Sean), Gina Fizer Moreno (Chano) and Bonnie Fizer Kidd (Larry); her sister Sandra Shanks Sprinkle; and also William T. "Teddy" Fizer.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Barbara's memory are suggested to Saint Jude's or The Lexington Humaine Society.
