With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barbara Banks Kirkland (Lexington, Kentucky), who passed away on August 25, 2019. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, William R. Banks and Mary McLeod Banks Gault; and her sister Beverly Ann Banks. She is survived by: her children, Paula Alexander (Stan), Kim Redmon (Jouett) and Carla Hiler (Mark); her grandchildren, Phillip Alexander, Allie Redmon-Walling, Austin Hiler and Erin Hiler; her great grandchildren, Jaxson Alexander, Pyper Alexander and Charlotte Ann Walling; and her brothers, Barry Banks and Bill B. Banks.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass, or the Ronald McDonald House.
