He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Melvin and Lettie Eudora Culbreth Peters. He is survived by: his wife Betty Sue; his children, John August Peters (Becca) of Charleston, SC, Grace Elizabeth "Beth" Burnham (Cliff Hughes) of Jacksonville, FL and Dr. Carl M.; his grandchildren, Jeremy Peters, Kyle Peters (Ali), Brianna Burnham, Daulton Peters (Savannah), Kendall Peters (Cassandra) and Hayden Peters; and his great grandchild Oakley Peters.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Anchor Baptist Church, 3601 Winthrop Drive, Lexington, KY 40514.
