She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Irvine Smith; her parents, Joseph Jenkins and Luvonia Jenkins (Vaughn); and her daughter Leadonia "Dee Dee" Jenkins. She is survived by: her sons, Gerald Edward Smith of San Antonio, TX and Virgil Irvine Smith of Lexington, KY; her stepdaughter Donna Lee Davis of Dayton, OH; her sister Sallie Madison; and her sister-in-law Geroline Mynatt of Cincinnati, OH. She is also survived by four grandchildren, six greatgrandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews' other relatives and friends.
