He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. M. B. and Grace Cain Stephens. He is survived by: his wife Joan Prather Stephens; his daughters, Vicki Stephens McVay (Larry) and Gwendolyn Stephens Gabbard (William); his granddaughters, Jennifer McVay Martin (Jim), Crystal McVay Shepard (Berkley) and Kayla Gabbard Mitchell (Chris); and his great grandchildren, Connor Martin, Reagan Martin, Braxton Shepard and Lincoln Shepard.
