He was predeceased by: his parents, James Herman and Myrtle Marie Bailey Petrey; and his siblings, Detty Mae Smock, Wanda Faye Foley, Bonnie Lou Genton, Doris Etta Denny, Denver Lee Petrey, Billy Ray Petrey, James Herman Petrey, Jr., Delver Petrey (Junior), Robert Petrey, Curtis Petrey and Wallace Petrey.
He is survived by: his children, Ansel Aaron Petrey of Winchester, KY, Christene Marie Petrey Richmond of Paint Lick, KY and Minta Lin Linville (Kristen) of Richmond, KY; his grandson Devin Wayne RichmondTwo; his stepgrandchildren, Raelyn Lovegrove and Bentley LinvilleHonorary; his grandson Charles Williams; his great grandchildren, Rowan, Ayden and Olivia Richmond; and his siblings, Stanley Petrey, Nancy Kidd and Betty Sue Miller.
A celebration of life was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the McKnight Funeral Home (147 Main St, Crab Orchard, KY 40419).
