Anne Elizabeth Fretty Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Anne Elizabeth Fretty (Lexington, Kentucky), who passed away on November 20, 2023 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles (Marie Hudgell) and England. She is survived by: her husband Ralph; her children, Martin, Sarah Miller (Matt) and Ellen Simon (Mike); her grandchildren, Tess Fay (Michael), Peter Simon, Jack Simon (Sadie), Henry Simon, Roxanne Miller (Rob) and Rachel Fretty; her great grandchild Emmett Fay (England); her brother Andrew Hudgell (Gill); her nephew Mark Hudgell (Vicky); her niece Sally Leonard (Ross); her great-nephew Oscar; and her great-nieces, Annabelle Hudgell, Rosie and Molly Leonard.
For several years, Anne enjoyed the close-knit camaraderie of the Rebecca Boone Homemakers' Club as well as her Lexington Silver Sages exercise group and her book club, the latter two for which she proudly mastered Zoom during COVID.
A private graveside service will be held for family members at St. Hubert's Episcopal Church, to which donations in Anne's memory may be made or to a humane society of one's choosing.
