It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Andrea Kay Doren (Lexington, Kentucky), who passed away on August 11, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Friedman and Rae Friedman (Eldot); her husband Gene; her stepfather Howard Eldot; and her siblings, Harris, Barry and Rhonda.

She is survived by: her sons, Joe (Kelsey) and Jared Doren; and her grandsons, Oliver and Myles. She is also survived by her family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Andrea can be made to.

“I have such fond memories of the Dorens from our children playing baseball together. I remember Gene eating sunflower seeds by the bucketfuls and Andrea always so beautifully dressed. They are one of the few families I allowed my son to spend time with. They even took him to the lake with them. He and Jared became such good friends. I am so sorry for your loss. I wish Josh and I could attend the service tomorrow. Our deepest condolences.”
