He was predeceased by: his parents, James T. Laughlin and Ruth Dilks Laughlin. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Henderson Laughlin; his son Col. Allen C. Laughlin II; and his brother James F. Laughlin.

Hewas an avid lifetime supporter of University of Kentucky Football.He was a member of Good Shepherd Episcopal Church.Services will be at a later date.Memorial contributions can be made to Bluegrass Care Navigators or Good.
