He is survived by: his wife Helen Prather Gilkerson; his children, Debbie Jones (Doug), Kathy Gillespie (Pat) and Greg Gilkerson (Paige); his sister Joyce Gilkerson Dean (John); his grandchildren, Allie Stone (Tyler), Corey Gillespie (Ashley Melton), Bailey Gilkerson (Michael Charles), Kyle Gillespie and Jesse Gillespie; his great grandchildren, Novalie Gillespie, Dani Stone, Ryleigh "Roo" Gillespie and Dawson Stone; and his stepgrandchildren, Laura Beth Gillespie and Harrison Gillespie.
