He is survived by: his parents, Thomas Freeman and Beverly Rose Freeman; his daughters, Alana Freeman of Seattle and Paris Hurd of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; and his siblings, Stephen Freeman of Lexington and Tabetha Bine of Union, Kentucky.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and his beloved dogs.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Alan's name to Scott County Youth Softball Club, 140 Pavillion Dr., Georgetown, Kentucky 40324 or or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
