He was predeceased by: his parents, William C Lyles and Bertha McClanahan Lyles; his daughter Leah Schwindel; and his siblings, Jimmy Lyles, Helen Matthews and Jean Carroll.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Belew Lyles; his children, Cynthia Parker (Jerry), Greta Beach (Dale), Melissa Norris (Johnny), Bridget Lyles and Wade Lyles; his grandchildren, Stephanie, Alana, Karie, Kevin, Kelly, Leslie, Mike, Andy, Mark, Lexi and Savannah; his great grandchildren, Max, Ella, Alex, Lily, Zach, Willie, Boone, Maddox, Link and Bennett; and his brother Johnny (Doris).
