He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Justice Purcell and Virgie Mae Frantz Purcell; his grandson Patrick Dylon Purcell; his sisters, Bonnie Hagan, Mary Helen "Dickie" Gaddis and Virginia "Penny" Smith; and his pet Missy.
He is survived by: his wife Becky Clark Purcell; his children, Pat Purcell (Sheena) and Cheryl Norris (David); his stepchildren, Stacy Owens (Corky) and Kevin Boone (Brande); and his siblings, Leroy Purcell, Ethel Hobbs and Margie Dickens. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
