It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Ernest Johnson of Lewisport, Kentucky, who passed away on January 20, 2024, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Theron Johnson and Agnes Johnson (Rhodes); his son James Ernest Johnson, Jr.; and his siblings, Johnnie Johnson and Geraldine Browning.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Johnson (Newman); his children, Amy Johnson (Richard Smithhart), Brittany Nugent (Bryce) and Chad Johnson; his grandchildren, Brianna Widdifield (Clay), Chris Blandford, Zacchary Jones, Abbigail Jones and Isaac Jones; his great grandchildren, Zoey Widdifield, Clay Widdifield, Everleigh Jones and Lynzie Kaye Campbell; and his sisters, Linda Gilliam and Norma Richard. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
