He was predeceased by: his parents, Gustav "Gus" Alfred Kalb and Mary Ruth Kalb (Ford); his sisters, Anna Florence Bramel (Kalb) and Juliet "Judy" Cate (Kalb); his nephews, Michael Bramel and Gerald "Jerry" Bramel; his niece Cynthia Connolly (Cate); and his great grandchild Braylon Goins.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Jean Kalb (Hutchison); his children, David Gustav Kalb (Krista) of Maysville, Darrell Eugene Kalb (Michelle) of Maysville and Mary Sue Stewart (Kalb) of Maysville; his sister Phyllis Pearl Steelman (Kalb) of Carriere; his grandchildren, Russell Goins (Casey), D. Sebastian Kalb (Brooke), Philip Goins (Rebecca Alderson) and Noah Kalb; his great grandchildren, Madison Tincher, Nevaeh Waldridge, Ashlynn Goins, Bailee Goins, Hadley Goins of Eli Goins, J. T, Theo Goins, Lily Alderson, Khloe Prichard, Zayla Kalb and Sonny Kalb; his nieces and nephews, Rebecca Temme (Jeff), Andrea Cate (Steve Zachem) of St. Petersburg, FL., Laura Doyle (Mike) of Maysville, Amy Jackson (Tony) of Biloxi, Brent, Clay (Joey) and Andy Steelman (Mary) of Carriere; his close friends, Jane Kirkland and Karen Rice; and his pets, Dusty and Billy. He is also survived by many great-nieces, nephews.
He started collecting model tractors that he grew fond of during and post-pandemic.
