She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray Brashears and Dessie Whitaker Brashears; her granddaughter Mica Dawn; and her brother Billy Dean Brashears. She is survived by: her husband Buddy Dean Sexton; her daughter Cathy Dawn Sexton Sumpter (Dick) of Sandlick; her siblings, Johnnie Brashears of South Carolina, Tommie Brashears of Kingscreek, Randy Whitaker of North Carolina, Jimmy Brashears of Indiana, Jo Combs of Smoot Creek, Gertrude Murphy of Morehead and Karen Sexton of Sandlick; her grandson Teddy Dean Martin; and her great grandchild Seth Wilder.
