He was predeceased by: his parents, Silas "Si" and Inas Cook Tackett; and his wife Rosa Meade-Tackett of Maryland. He is survived by: his daughters, Linda Gail Fields and Glenda Jeanette Johnson; his siblings, Lowell Thomas, George Smith, Daniel Van, Johnnie, McKinley, Curtis, Johnce Tackett, Sarah, Aileen and Ollie; his children, Gary Tackett (Della) and Sandra Little; his son-in-law Alfred Fields; his brother-in-law Winston Meade; and his grandchildren, Sletta Cerra, Wayne Tackett (Cathy), Michelle Fields, Angela Church (Scotty), Garry Neal Tackett (Debbie), Alfred Fields (Jammie), Amanda Johnson (Brian), Kevin Little (Missy), James Johnson (Elizabeth), Rebecca Johnson, Matthew Fields (Brandie), Jon-Michael Fields (Taylor) and Joseph Ingram. He is also survived by 26 great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren.
