He is survived by: his wife Tammy Lewis Coots; his children, Karrie Turner (Kevin), Kevin Coots and Erica Mefford (Scott); his siblings, Mattie Day (Jerry), Maxine Lunsford, Evelyn Elliott, Catherine Fleenor, Anita Taylor (Steven), Matthew Coots (Doris), Titus Coots, Timothy Coots (Tina) and Donnie Paul Coots (Harlan); his grandchildren, Tiler Asher (Kendra), Abbie Jones (Christian), Payton Fee (B. J.), Brandon Coots, Hunter Coots, Becca Mefford, Alexus Coots, Mason Asher, Lindsey Coots and Braydon Mefford; and his close friends, Barney and Gail Napier. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, several special brothers-in-law, a special sister-in-law; and a host of friends.
