He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Downs and Mary Ada Lashley Downs; his wife Jerlene Wood Downs; and his siblings, Marie Downs Gibson and Mural Thomas Downs.
He is survived by: his children, Ricky Downs (Joyce) of Louisville, KY and Wanda Gay Meredith (Gary) of Anneta, KY; his grandchildren, Michael Downs (Allison) of Georgetown, IN and Whitney Meese (Jordan) of Mt. Washington, KY; his great grandchildren, Bricyn, Jazlyn Meese, Lilyan and Emerson Downs; his brother Bobby Downs of Paoli, IN; and his friend Brady Kerr of Leitchfield.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Dermitt Funeral Home (306 W Main St, Leitchfield, KY 42754). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
