She was predeceased by: her parents, Denver Shartzer and Shellie Watson Shartzer; and her brother Chalmer Shartzer. She is survived by: her husband Joe of Leitchfield; her sons, Wade VanMeter (Elizabeth) of Lexington, KY and Trent VanMeter (Lisa) of Leitchfield; her grandchildren, Morgan, Tyler, Luke, Jagger, Cate and Miller; her great grandchildren, Thatcher, Hadley, Emelyn, Anna and Hudson; her brothers, Chester Shartzer (Kathryn) of Leitchfield and Jimmy Shartzer (Sharyon) of Glasgow, KY; and her sister-in-law Nancy Shartzer. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Dermitt Funeral Home (306 W Main St, Leitchfield, KY 42754). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
