He was predeceased by: his parents, Marshall Whittle and Bessie Neagle Whittle; his wife Lillian Bernice Whittle; his son Stephen D. Whittle; his grandson Brandon D. Whittle; his son-in-law Steven Sheehan; and his brother Donald Whittle.
He is survived by: his daughters, Dianna Sheehan of Bee Springs, KY and Sherry Smith (John) of Murfreesboro, TN. He is also survived by four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
