He is survived by: his wife Anna Rose Higdon Messenger; his children, Jorge Messenger (Tiffany), Mike Messenger (Jennifer), Sheila Brown (Kevin), Karen Lee Decker (Rodney) and Monica Reuther (Joey); his grandchildren, Ashley Constant, Kendrea Douthitt (Mike), Kayla Brown, Kaylee Decker, Brittany Cresson, Taylor Milam (Alexander), Neil Brown (WesleyAnne), Mason Decker, Tanner Decker, Dustin Messenger, Kyle Reuther (Katie) and Andrew Butler; his great grandchildren, Taylor Horn, Landon Constant, Emmett Douthitt and Payton Douthitt; his siblings, Ted Messenger, Brian Messenger (Joann), Patricia Lindsey and Debbie Durbin (John); and his sister-in-law Karla Messenger. He is also survived by the friends of his children.
