It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leah Ann Basham of Leitchfield, Kentucky, born in Louisville, Kentucky, who passed away on October 5, 2024, at the age of 53, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, David, Sr. Allgood and Ruth Igleheart Allgood; and her brother Baby David. She is survived by: her husband Wesley Basham; her children, Hunter Basham (Natea), Carrie McCord (Josh), Brittany Long (Justin), John Michael Childress and Sophia Morin; her grandchildren, Triniti Towne, Olivia McCord, Abigail McCord, Raelynn Basham, Larissa McCord, Nevaeh Schmidt and Jeremiah Long; her siblings, Amanda Litch (Trevor), Jennifer DeMott (Kurt), David Allgood (Kelly) and Jason Allgood (Jennifer); and her stepparents, Melissa Allgood (James) and Ron Staples.
