She was predeceased by: her parents, Alton Weedman and Lena Anderson Weedman; her stepchildren, Willard Cook, Faye King and Barbara Embry; her former husband Carl Brooks; her husband Owen Cook; her siblings, Marvin, Loyd, Elton, Henry, Howard Weedman, Lillian Odean Wheeler and Juanita Weedman; and her siblings-in-law, Elroy Williams, Raymond Spencer Jr., Johnny Wheeler, Curtis Whitehead, Gladys, Wanda, Shirley and Barbara Weedman.
She is survived by: her stepchildren, Bradley Cook, Joe Brooks and Nell Millinger; and her sisters, Erma Dodson (William) of Leitchfield and Wilma Whitehead of Leitchfield. She is also survived by many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed quilting, embroidery, attending church, making roses from funeral ribbons, donating quilts and helping people.
