We are sad to announce that on September 26, 2024, at the age of 91, James Russell Willis of Leitchfield, Kentucky, born in Grayson, Kentucky passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Willis and Bertie Hack Willis; his wife Billie Jean; his children, James Russell "Poncho" Willis, Jr. and Lillian Regina "Jeanie" Decker; his grandchildren, Danielle and Jeremiah; and his brothers, Mearl, Raymond, Earl, Charles, Jack and Roger Willis.
He is survived by: his children, Nancy Cain (Sam) of Clarkson, Jo Avery (Luke) of Canmer, Debbie Jo Terry of Shrewsbury, Mary Jane Hileman of Ohio and Mark Willis (Holly) of Leitchfield; his brothers, Roy and Vernie Willis; and his grandchildren, Melissa Jo Nichols, Jason Willis, Brian Willis, Shane Terry, Andy Cain, Matthew Hileman, Ryan Lancaster, Lana Lancaster, Molly Terry (Johnny), Donnie Stevenson, Jr., Lauren Englant (Danny), BonniJill Avery and Dale Avery. He is also survived by eighteen great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
