He is survived by: his children, Garon Deacon (Carolyn) and Robyn Phan (Wayne); his sister Gleta Kay Barth; his grandchildren, Tyler Deacon (Erica), Hannah Palaniuk and Liam Phan; and his stepgranddaughters, Sarah Maier and Michelle Smith (Shawn).
