She was predeceased by: her parents, Gillard Tomes and Effie Farris Tomes; her husband Harold Brown; her siblings, Everett, Raymond, Eddie Tomes, Goldie Belkey and Marie Culbreath; and her son-in-law Leo Mudd.
She is survived by: her children, Joyce Mudd of Leitchfield, Brenda Ramsey (Denny) of Leitchfield and Ken Brown (Jenny) of Louisville, KY; and her brother James Tomes. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
