He was predeceased by: his parents, Gene Whitley and Garnett Sallie Whitley Madden; and his siblings, Tim Whitley, Duke Whitley and Patty Harmison.
He is survived by: his wife Sharlon Crawford Whitley of Lee City, Kentucky; his daughters, Chelynne Whitley of Lee City, Kentucky and Amber Whitley Schwable of Lee City, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Desirae Turner, Johnathon Turner, Raiden Dickey, Acelynn Young and Kaden Young; his stepgrandchildren, Katelynn Sparks, Tyler Townsend, Brent Sparks and Braxton Sparks; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Quenton and Caroline; and his siblings, Alvin Whitley of Lee City, Kentucky and Sandy Cooper. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the Porter and Son Funeral Directors (769 Main St, Campton, KY 41301). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Porter and Son Funeral Director's Chapel (769 Main St, Campton, KY 41301).
