He was predeceased by: his parents, Billie Thorn and Imogene Thorn; his wife Rose Thorn; and his siblings, Willie Thorn and Tansie Blassingham.
He is survived by: his children, David Thorn (Suzannah) of Smithland, KY, Billie Thorn (Amy) of Ledbetter, KY and Amanda Thorn of Paducah, KY; and his sisters, Nancy Wright (James) of Big Bay, IL and Barbara Fulton of Paducah, KY. He is also survived by eight grandchildren.
