He was predeceased by: his parents, John A. Franklin and Vera Franklin; his brother Jerry Franklin; and his granddaughter Courtney Meade. He is survived by: his wife Edith Franklin (Courtney) of Ledbetter; his children, Isaac Franklin of Burna, KY, Melanie Meade of Ledbetter and Hannah Nowling of Paducah; and his siblings, Sanford Franklin of Marion, KY, Carroll Franklin of Sparta, IL, Gary Hardesty of Marion, KY, Jeff Franklin of Smithland, Cindy Layne of Smithland and Judy Warran of Smithland. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
