He was predeceased by: his parents, Omer Owens and Beatrice Owens (Jones); his former wife Barbara Ann Owens (Bailey); his siblings, James Owens (Jim), Melvin Owens (Fris), Leslie Owens (Buck), Franklin Owens (Dink), Kevin Owens (Toody), Doris Owens, Sandra West (Penny) and Helen West; and his grandsons, Dakota Rylan King and Justin Allen Wilson.
He is survived by: his wife Ima Lee Owens; his sister Betty Joseph; his children, Raymond Dale Owens (Jane), Mary Ellen Durflinger (Ralph) and Leslie Ann Robbins (Terry); and his stepdaughter Natalie Handshoe. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
