He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph T. Hamilton and Elizabeth Kelly Hamilton; and his siblings, James D. "Juicy" Hamilton, Edd Hamilton and Joyce Ann Hamilton.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Edelen Hamilton; his children, Jill H. Cecil (Scott) of Lebanon, Julie H. Johnson of Lebanon and Justin L. Hamilton (Sara) of Cold Spring; his grandchildren, Rowan Cecil, Lyla Johnson, Ben Cecil, Gabe Cecil, Xavier Johnson, Grayson Cecil, Briggs Hamilton, Luther Hamilton and Kit Hamilton; and his sisters, Betty Hamilton of Springfield, Margaret Smith of Springfield and Sarah O'Bryan (Larry) of Louisville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may go to Saint Charles Cemetery Fund, Marion County Veterans Honor Guard or Saint Augustine School.
