He was predeceased by: his parents, John Lee and Artie Frances Lewis McCarty; his grandson Benjamin Bruce McCarty; and his great grandchild Kolton McCarty. He is survived by: his wife Geraldine Shively McCarty of Lebanon; his children, Michael Bruce McCarty of Louisville and Monica Renee McCarty of Lebanon; his siblings, Jerry Lee McCarty of Milwaukee, Tim McCarty of Danville and Kathy Curtsinger of Springfield; his grandchildren, Justin McCarty, Jonathon McCarty, Jared Raley and Brianna Raley; and his great grandchild Keegan McCarty.
