He was predeceased by: his father Charles Cooper, Sr.; his wife Lucy Cooper; and his stepfather Irvin McDaniel. He is survived by: his mother Verna Jean McDaniel (Pierce Cooper); his children, Charles Cooper III (Ladean) of Louisville, Shawn Christopher Cooper (Fawn) of Columbus, Ryan Patrick Cooper of Petersburg, VA, Casey Jared Cooper (Megan) of Cox's Creek and Joseph Hamilton Cooper (Veronia) of Bradfordsville; his partner Jean McMahan of Campbellsville; and his siblings, Jerry Cooper of Charlestown and Tina Bradshaw of Charlestown. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
