It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sallie Ripy Crawford (Lawrenceburg, Kentucky), who passed away on January 28, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest W. Ripy, Jr. and Nita Frazier Ripy; her daughter Margaret "Marie" Crawford Garmon; and her sister Madeline Johnson Ripy Prewitt. She is survived by: her spouse Jerry D. Crawford; her son Jay Crawford (Cathy) of Lawrenceburg; her son-in-law David K. Garmon of Lawrenceburg; her grandchildren, Joe Dan Crawford, John Paul Garmon, Stan Crawford and Marlie Forbes Garmon; her great grandchild Jaydan Anthony Crawford; and her sisters, Ann Ripy Hochstrasser of Raleigh, NC and June Ripy Whisman of Lawrenceburg. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the First Christian Church (300 S Main St, Lawrenceburg, KY 40342). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
