He was predeceased by: his wife Sarah Elizabeth Drury Cox; his parents, Ernest Rondol Cox and Zylpha Zula Cooper Cox; his son-in-law Phillip Franklin; and his siblings, Sam Cox, Tom Cox, Goldie Thompson, Lillie Rucker, Christine Perry and Ralph Cox.
He is survived by: his daughter Donna Jean Cox Franklin of Lawrenceburg; his grandchildren, Garrett Franklin (Jenny) of Lawrenceburg and NaBeth Turner (Jacob) of Lawrenceburg; his great grandchildren, NaKayla Casey (Devin), Bailey Turner of Lucas, Franklin and Sarah Franklin; and his great great grandchildren, Joannah Casey and Denver Casey.
