She was predeceased by: her husband George Lawrence Sanford; her parents, Jesse C. Thompson and Susan Emily Caldwell Thompson; her daughter Vernell Devine; her sister Vernett Springate; and her brother-in-law Cotton Springate.
She is survived by: her children, Jesse Sanford (Verlinda) and Jan Childers (Steven); her grandchildren, Courtney Flannery (Dustin), Lauren Roe (Zach), Kenton Devine (Ali) and Emily Devine; her great grandchildren, Dade, Caylee Flannery of Versailles, K. C and Fassas; and her nephew George Springate.
