He was predeceased by: his father James R. Grooms, Jr.. He is survived by: his mother Martha Ann Aderman Grooms; his grandmother Patricia Aderman of Florida; his brother Jimmy Grooms, III; his nephew Jacob Hockensmith-Grooms; and his close friends, Timmy Phillips of Frankfort and Leigh Bass of Frankfort. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
