He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Burgin, Jr. and Aline Mischler Burgin. He is survived by: his wife Vickie Burgin; his children, Will Ackerman of Lawrenceburg and April Roth (Carl) of Lawrenceburg; his grandchildren, Joshua Bryant, Tyler Ackerman (Destanie) and Charity Ackerman; and his brothers, Glenn Burgin (Patsy) and Jeff Burgin.
