It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Larry Akers of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, born in Hazard, Kentucky, who passed away on March 19, 2023, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dillard Akers and Rosa Lee Lewis Akers; his siblings, Walter Akers, Eddie Akers and Sammy Akers; and his close friend Beano.
He is survived by: his wife Tina Akers; his children, Tammy Cook Akers and Daniel Akers; his grandsons, Anthony Cook (Megan), Joshua Cook (Daniella) and Justin Akers; his great grandchildren, Colton, Jordan, Isaac, Samson, Ethan and Jonah Cook; his mother-in-law Faith Garland; and also Valentine.
