He was predeceased by: his wife Cynthia Grace Higdon Goforth; his mother Jean Wells; and his brothers, Marty and Graves. He is survived by: his children, John Edwin Goforth (Jennifer) of Nashville, TN, Gabriel "Gabe" Michael Goforth (Crys) of Lexington, KY and Andrea Grace Goforth Dolen (Phillip) of Lawrenceburg, KY; his sisters, Jeannie Goforth of Memphis, TN and Janie Timblin (Kirk) of Irvine, KY; and his pets, Doug, Lola, Ollie, Chester and Toby.
