He was predeceased by: his parents, Valice Monroe Womack and Irene Genelle Givens; and his sons, James L. Womack, Sr. and Glenn Womack. He is survived by: his former wives, Joie Rose and Nannie Ruth; his siblings, Mary Baldwin Beckland and Maurice Lynn Womack; his grandson David Hudson, Sr. (Jim); his daughters, Deborah Hudson (Bill) and Denise Womack; his grandchildren, Lori Bertrand (Chad), Brett Hudson (Cindy), Bill Hudson (Melissa), Sarah Holden (Dan), Kara Klapp, John Payne (Amanda) and Sam Payne (Katie); his great grandchildren, David, Jr., Ryen, Sawyer, Della, Kennan, Kaden, Alexandra, Ethan, Dori, Emme, Isaac, Norah, Zachary, Ava, Emma, Harrison, Jude and August; and his close friend Mary Copeland. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews; plus, a host of other relatives & friends.
