He was predeceased by: his parents, Arlie Gritton and Dorothy Scrogham Gritton; and his wife Dorothy "Dottie" Howser Gritton. He is survived by: his close friend Loretta Martin; his children, Brian Gritton (Kelly) of Lexington and Jennifer Miller (Don) of Lawrenceburg; his grandchildren, Camden, Addie Miller, Sam, Gabe Gritton and Zoe Avery; and his sister Rita Culbertson (John) of Cadiz.
