He was predeceased by: his parents, Elbert R. Cox, Sr. and Debra Lynn Angel Stewart. He is survived by: his sons, Hunter Cox of Lexington and David Isaic Cox of Salvisa; his brothers, Elbert Cox of Junction City and Danny Cox of Lawrenceburg; his niece Jordan; and his nephews, Dylan, Danny Jr., Jairus, Nicholas, Dallas, Dakota and Austin Cox.
