He was predeceased by: his wife Charlotte Brisbin Wells; his father Leonard Wells; his son Chuck Wells; his grandson William Derrick Wells; and his siblings, Laura Wells, Ronald Wells, Lloyd Wells and Dr. James "Jimmy" Wells.
He is survived by: his sons, Les Wells (Karen) of Lawrenceburg and Greg Wells (Jennifer) of Lawrenceburg; his grandchildren, Sean Wells (Alisha), Brian Wells (Ashley Mattingly), Tamra Walz (Mark), Aaron Wells (Katelyn), Jordyn Wells, Cheyenne Bowman (Douglas) and Dakota Wells (Jordyn); and his siblings, Jean Hunt and Tommy Wells (Jackie). He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home (701 N Main St, Lawrenceburg, KY 40342). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
