He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Nyland and Katherine Lee Marks; his siblings, Jim Marks and Eileen Kolkmeier; and his brother-in-law Jim Kolkmeier.
He is survived by: his sister-in-law Janet Marks; and his nieces and nephews, Mark Kolkmeier (Sue), Steve Kolkmeier (Susan), Mike Marks (Buckets), Jeff Marks, Kevin Marks (Karen), Kim Jones, Lisa Moloy (Howard) and Amy Ladd (David).
